Play is the most important job of children, and children are the most important job of their parents.

In the journey of becoming a parent, we want to understand our children, teach them what we know right, and be there for them when they have problems.

While doing this, we try to progress with the help of the teachings we learned from our parents and brought from the past, if we can add new things to them.

Every child is unique. Each child's characteristics are like a fingerprint. For this reason, not every information may be suitable for every child.

Every child is unique like a fingerprint, but they all have one thing in common. Children love games and toys.

This is where play therapy comes into play. Play therapy (which we will be using especially Child-centered Play Therapy in this workshop) helps us to communicate correctly with all children by using play, which is the common point of all children.

Child-Centered Play Therapy is based on Carl Rogers' Client-Centered Therapy. Carl Rogers' principles were adapted to play therapy by Virginia Axline in the late 1940s.

Child-Centered Play Therapy, which was founded by Axline, was later made more systematic by Garry Landreth. Child-Centered Play Therapy prefers to focus on the relationship rather than the child's problems. It believes that this relationship will activate the child's healing power. The child realizes the healing through toys in the carefully prepared play therapy room. Which toy the child chooses and which game he/she plays is completely determined by the child. It is believed that the play guidance that comes from within the child will be more beneficial than the guidance that the therapist will provide from the outside.

In Child-Centered Play Therapy, the child is dominant instead of the problem, the present instead of the past, emotions instead of thoughts and actions, understanding instead of explanation, acceptance instead of correction. It is essential that the child manages the moment of play instead of giving commands. The main power for change is to believe in the child's inner resources and wisdom.

In this workshop, you will learn the language of the game and gain information on how to use the game while communicating with your children. Being a playful parent will strengthen your bond with your children. As the bond between you grows stronger, you will have a healthier relationship...

It is a 4-session workshop and each session will last 60 minutes.

You will be charged per session.
